Underbelly, the TV series is A portrayal of the so called "Gandland wars" Which occured from 1995 to 2004 in Melbourne, Australia.
The Series follows mostly the life of Carl Williams. An up and coming drug dealer from the Western suburbs of Melbourne. The series uses real names of the criminals involved in the real ganglands wars. However the series at times strays far from the truth. Check out our Facts section here.
